Our Youth…Our Health…Our Social Responsibility

The YMCA is preparing to renew its commitment to youth through two exciting new projects—the Challenge Leadership Adventure Centre  (CLAC) at the Esso YMCA Learning and Career Centre, and the Youth Energy Zone-XRKade® at the Jerry McCaw Family Centre. Our goal is to fill a gap in our community, offering young people opportunities to grow, develop strong self-esteem, be heard, stay physically active and contribute to their community. To make these and related projects possible, the YMCA seeks to raise $3 million from concerned individuals and organizations in the community. Combined with committed funds from the Infrastructure Stimulus Program and the YMCA’s reserve funds, we will create new facilities and new opportunities for youth in Sarnia. In doing so, we will be helping more young people to grow and develop in positive ways, stay in our community, and become contributing and valued citizens.
